Our house is brimming with excitement and anticipation. It's a feeling I crave. Feed off of. We have all been in high gear this year, trying to accomplish everything we want to do in the short amount of time we have. Last year I wasn't a working woman. This year I didn't have quite the amount of free time to spend preparing for the holiday but I think I prefer it that way. The only regret I have is maybe I haven't spent enough time with the kids as I should have but the good news is, Rylee will be home from school all next week and I have no work until January so we will be taking advantage of that!
Yesterday, the girls and I filled our day with all things Christmas. We started off the morning preparing crafts to gift. They made a Christmas tree on canvas with their hand-prints that I'm finding it hard to part with!

And they painted some ornaments...

Then we decided to start baking some treats. We made chocolate chip cookies, reindeer sugar cookies, buck-eyes and puppy chow. Let the weight gain begin.

After a long afternoon of baking, Rylee, Maddie and I curled up on the couch to watch A Christmas Story. It was their first time seeing it and I knew Ry would love it. She's into movies with real people now versus animated movies. Her favorite part was when Ralphie dropped the F bomb, lol!
That evening, the girls went to my parent's house and Kev and I were able to have dinner alone. Imagine! Generally it's just the older two that go to grandma and pappy's and we take Charlotte to dinner with us so this was quite a treat! After dinner, we made a couple last minute Christmas purchases and went to pick up Charlotte. The older two had a lovely sleepover. Kev and I had a sleep over of our own...with this lil cutie!

And here's a proper look at her awesome new Thomas jammies!

Now I think I'll get off the computer and enjoy this Christmas eve.
